In April 2017 I was diagnosed with terminal cancer. It has now progressed to the palliative care stage, and I am under the care of Compton Hospice in Wolverhampton, supported by some amazing people and powerful pain arresting drugs. Mobility is still possible but will become a major problem. I have just spent a week in New Cross hospital as the cancer progresses.
With that in mind, that I may not be able to attend the various functions as and when required, I am taking the action of standing down from the BCMA board. I would like, if acceptable, to retain the position of Curator of the British Hall of Fame as a non-executive director.
