The British Country Music Association is committed to supporting the very best in UK and international roots artists. Working closely with the country music community, along with our industry partners on both sides of the Atlantic, we are here to heighten the awareness of country music and support its development in the UK.
Our membership is made up of musicians and professionals from all sectors of the music industry, including artist managers, record labels, publicists, journalists, festival organisers, agents and many more. We also welcome non-professional country music fans and those who want to have an active voice in the promotion of the genre, whether they embrace a more traditional approach, or enjoy the more contemporary sounds of modern country music.
Over the years, we have been lucky enough to host the crème de la crème of British and international country music artists at our annual awards show, as well as honouring some of the industry’s greats in our Hall of Fame.
The BCMA is a not-for-profit organisation, and our activities are funded by our generous sponsors, and through our annual memberships. The BCMA board is made up of individuals who are passionate about the development of country and roots music in the UK.

Like every member of the BCMA I’m very passionate about country music. I came to country from the indie/rock scene which still influences my tastes in country but when I experienced new country for the first time I felt I’d found my musical home. My particular interest is modern US and UK country music (don’t hate me!) I love going to gigs and supporting new acts, the feeling you get when you discover someone new is priceless. I’ve also dabbled with promoting country gigs for US and UK artists and intend getting back into it soon. As North East representative of the BCMA I’ll be looking to support, promote and help local artists find their audience.
Based not far from Manchester UK, I have been involved in the production of the BCMA Awards since 2013 in various roles and since rediscovering my passion for Photography in late 2014 I have travelled all over the UK photographing artists on stage from not only the UK country scene but from Nashville and wider afield for various media publications based in the UK and the US. Also I am fortunate enough to have met some fantastic people, who later became friends, who run some of the main UK country festivals and soon I became frequent at most of them with my cameras and familiar to a wide group of regular artists who would always need great live shots for their profiles and with this, my experience and knowledge grew even more. Festivals such as Buckle and Boots, FSA Fest, The Long Road and of course C2C both in Glasgow and London are all very familiar to me when it comes to doing live stage photography, whether it’s taking shots of the likes of Keith Urban, Marty Stuart, Ward Thomas, The Shires, Charley Worsham, Brad Paisley, Ashley Campbell, Jade Helliwell, Gasoline and Matches or Kezia Gill plus many more who all bring a degree of diversity to their performance I can adapt to every situation and it’s with this experience I am pleased to be able to utilise my skills with my many cameras to ensure the BCMA remains at the forefront of not only the UK country scene, but a further worldwide presence.
