Modern Age Music launch new platform dedicated to Country, Folk & Blues

National promoters Modern Age Music have launched Roots, a brand new platform dedicated to country, folk and blues music in the UK.

Modern Age music have featured a number of British country artists in their ‘Front Room Live’ live stream sessions throughout lockdown and now, with Roots there will be a dedicated platform. They are looking for the best new artists to work with on this new venture in the coming months as well as for live events later this year and into 2021.

Speaking about Roots, James Bohrsmann, Founder of Modern Age Music said, ”We decided to add some country shows to our live programme earlier this year, the first of which went really well (Nashville’s Sam Lewis). What started as a small number of live events, predominantly in and around Brighton, quickly grew into something bigger. We found the engagement in the genre on our social platforms was brilliant, and we began to tap into what was a brand new community for us.

“Modern Age Music as a company has a focus on guitar music, predominantly indie/rock/alternative etc. but we could see an open door into a totally different demographic and a chance to connect with loads of music fans in the Americana genres and to grow our offerings in this area.

“We decided it made sense to create a new platform dedicated to the genre. Brandon from our team has worked as an integral part of Modern Age for some time now, and has a passion for this music, so it’s a great fit with him heading up this new and exciting arm of the business.

I’m excited to see where Brandon can take ‘Roots’, and I’ve no doubt it will become something substantial over the next 12 months. It’s a hugely welcoming, inclusive, and talent-filled community, and we’re delighted to be a part of it.”

Artists who’d like to learn more about working with Roots can get in touch with Brandon at and music fans, watch this space for more live streams and live shows once we’re able to attend gigs again.
