Her new single Wanted is out now to buy or stream on all major platforms and you can catch an exclusive Q&A with Brittany on IGTV (@mam_roots) at 2pm today.
Talking about her new release Brittany McLamb said,
“My brand new single “Wanted” is an upbeat ballad that I wrote with my good pals and songwriting buddies Andrew Beason and Jonathan Dean a few years back. I remember that once we were in the writing room, this song came about fairly quickly. We all had some ideas to bring to the table and Jonathan had the incredible line “must be lonely sleeping with the choices you made” written on a random page in his notebook and BOOM! That was the money line! It fit perfectly with the song and conveyed exactly what we were trying to say at that moment. Got to love those little gifts that fall from the sky! Or Jonathan’s notebook in this instance! Haha! This song is special because it does reflect some events that were happening in my life around that time and gave me an outlet to release my thoughts and feelings on the subject matter. I really am proud with how it came together!
“The song was recorded at Groove Kitchen Studio in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, by my former drummer Luke DeJaynes. Luke is not only brilliant on the drum set, but he has a keen ear in the studio as well! Luke produced, mixed, and engineered this track. He also played almost every instrument you hear minus the mandolin and bass. My friend and co-writer Phillip Howard played the mandolin and Luke’s brother Mark DeJaynes played bass. I also contributed the background vocals.
“I am super excited to be releasing this on June 19th and I hope that everyone will love it just as much as I do! Stay tuned, because I have a few more things up my sleeve in regards to this single!”

From the one stoplight town of Salemburg, North Carolina, Brittany McLamb discovered her love for music at a young age. The small town girl with big-time vocals was immersed in country and gospel music from the start. She grew up watching Hee Haw, listening to Alabama and Randy Travis tapes in her mama’s old, white Monte Carlo and watching early 90’s country music videos that her sisters recorded on the family VCR.
Brittany gave her first on-stage vocal performance at the age of 10 when she passed down her crown and title of Little Miss Salemburg. She dressed the part in a fringe and rhinestone embellished cowgirl outfit topped off with a matching cowboy hat and boots. She sang a crowd pleasing rendition of If You’re Not in it For Love by Shania Twain. “I just remember hearing the whole elementary school gym roar in applause,” said McLamb. “I WAS SOLD! I knew at that point what I wanted to be when I grew up.”
Since making the big move to Nashville, Brittany has had the opportunity to intern for the late legendary Billy Block (the father of Americana) and The Billy Block Show as a production assistant, made repeat guest artist appearances on Nashville’s WSM 650AM radio shows Coffee, Country and Cody and Nashville Today, had music videos air across the globe on The Country Network, The Heartland Channel, SKY TV etc., guest hosted The Country Network’s video countdown On The Rise and was featured as a guest performer on The Country Network’s Live From The Couch show. Brittany has opened for artists such as Charles Kelley from Lady A, William Michael Morgan, LANCO, Parmalee, Brooke Eden, Chris Hennessee, and Granger Smith to name a few. She made her live television debut on Nashville’s WSMV Channel 4 Today In Nashville segment performing her single Lose It.
Brittany’s music has also made its way across the pond to the UK where her music is being played on numerous radio stations and has even been featured on Country Hits UK for Baylen Leonard’s The Front Porch show. She has performed at London venues such as The Bedford Inn and The Slaughtered Lamb for a Belles & Gals sponsored show.
