‘Love At First’ The New Single From Essex County
We’ve teamed up with national promoter MAM Roots to spotlight a new release from an upcoming artist each week. We’re delighted to announce Essex County as our Country Release Friday pick this week. The band’s new single ‘Love At First’ is available now to buy or stream on all major platforms.
Written by hit songwriters Jaren Johnston, Andrew Dorff and Jimmy Robbins and produced by Steve Dorff, ‘Love at First’ is a masculine, moody mid-tempo track with sexy guitars stacked on a percussive, driving beat.
“It’s a cool two-chord song that is all about flirty, smouldering vibes,” explained Essex County guitarist Mark Bass.
“It’s just so groovy with a very infectious melody,” added the group’s singer Nate Bass. “And ‘love at first sight’ is such a universal phrase; everyone knows it or has felt it. You’ll find yourself singing the song all day long.”
Look out for the music video which will debut later this month.
Essex County, comprised of brothers Nate, Mark and Kieran Bass, released their debut single “So Good” March 27 and their four-song EP of the same name three months later. The band is the first act launched by AMG Records, an arm of Rob Beckham and Bill Simmons’ management company The AMG.
The group, from Essex County in England, is approaching 2 million streams across all streaming services.
“I couldn’t be prouder of Essex County,” said Beckham, who has been working with the group for the last two years. “When I heard their harmonies, I knew their talent was unique and special. I thought they would bring an edgy, fresh perspective to country music. When I see how country music fans engage with the group, I know Essex County will be around for a long time.”
Like the rest of the world, the music business has been crippled by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Essex County has managed to flourish. In addition to their impressive streaming numbers, the group became the first artist to release a video version of their EP to CMT. Essex County has four videos on the network and has spent weeks in the Top 12 on CMT Music’s “12-Pack Countdown.”
