Kenny Foster & Mae Este, Love You Now - Country Release Friday

Kenny Foster Releases Live Version of Love You Now with Mae Estes

Kenny Foster and Mae Estes have released a live version of their soaring, feel-good, 90’s-style duet, Love You Now. Written by Foster and hit songwriter Kirsti Manna (of Blake Shelton’s Austin) the new recording is out now on all digital platforms and is our Country Release Friday pick with MAM Roots. After a year of uncertainty where chance encounters were few and far between, this story-style song chronicles a rare run-in with an object of unrequited love, taking the listener on a roller coaster of emotions.

The live version of Love You Now is the fifth and final track to be featured in Kenny Foster’s Vintage Collection, a collection of previously unreleased songs that could only be heard at live shows. In the absence of touring, Foster decided to release these songs directly to fans so they could enjoy them at home over this last year. Previous Vintage Collection releases include Space (August 2021), It Don’t Work Like That (May 2021), and Lonely Land (Feb 2021).

About the new live version of Love You Now, Kenny explained, “You all know by now that I’m a stickler for a song. In and of itself.  Getting Mae in to record live to the board at The Listening Room was an attempt to get back to what it’s all about: a simple performance of a great song. Having a one-take mentality really helped us live in the moment.  It’s exhausting trying to make everything perfect behind the scenes, I wanted us to try and capture something real instead. I think we got it.”
