Kirstie Kraus Releases New Single ‘Thirsty’
It is often said that there are two kinds of people in the world: those that run toward love and those that run from it. And songs are plentiful across all genres, no matter what side of the spectrum you fall on. For Nashville artist Kirstie Kraus, her new single, “Thirsty” is what she calls the “ultimate biography” of her innermost thoughts and fears when jumping into a relationship.
“Thirsty”, with its deep grooves and Kirstie’s soothing voice, was written specifically for her as a gift from her then boyfriend – LA artist and producer – Arkfoo. He wrote it three years ago from her perspective when it comes to committed relationships and although they are no longer together, they are still super supportive of each other as friends and professional creatives.
“So many people are drawn to this song, including myself, so there’s no way I wasn’t going to record it. I have always treated music as a way to express myself and when I sing and talk about it, it gets me so emotional – so many things that I struggle with. I think it’s really important to be able to share that and open up to people because we all have stuff we go thru—like the fear of actually allowing yourself to fall in love and trust somebody,” Kirstie says.
The ballad serves as the 3rd single release off Kirstie’s highly anticipated, 11 song record, Yes You Can, dropping in 2021. As part of the Friday, November 13th release to all digital streaming platforms, Scenes Media will premiere “Thirsty” on their socials. “Thirsty” is even more of a special treat for the Wisconsin native, seeing as her most devoted fans call themselves “Thirsties.”
2021 promises to be full of lots of new endeavors for Kirstie in addition to her album. She recently signed an exclusive partnership with Cowboy Outlets–the nation’s hottest new online discount western wear retailer. She is the first Nashville female country artist to be featured with the Denver based company, which includes the sharing of her tour clothing items. Use her promo code KKBOOTS when shopping. She is also excited to announce a new member of her team at the Kraus House of Entertainment. Music industry mogul Robert J. Struyk of Talent Concept Inc. will be consulting and booking Kirstie as music events slowly return in the following months and she heads out on the road to promote her record. She’s thirsty – for love, magic, authenticity, and anything else that sets her soul on fire. Nowhere does Kirstie Kraus quench her thirst more than under the bright lights, taking her devout fans—aka – “Thirsties” on a path of self-discovery and bliss every time she rocks the stage. And when it comes to her writing, Kirstie infuses her own transparent journey with others’ experiences to create sustainable lyrics and catchy melodies. The result is a perfect blend of country, funk, blues, and rock, because with this spitfire, there are no boundaries. There’s only the process of letting go and letting the song tell you what it wants to be. With sassy singles like “Delusional” (2018), “Gotta Do” (2019) and Silver (2020), the Wisconsin native turned Nashvillian has proven time and time again the satisfaction that comes with not being afraid to bend the rules and dig deeper. A supportive, close knit family and an invaluable mentorship initiated through NSAI have instilled a desire in Kirstie to spread her wings all while remaining true to herself. Her motto, “Yes You Can” is appropriately the title of her forthcoming 2021 album, which features 11 tracks. Kirstie’s new single, “Thirsty”, serves as the “ultimate biography of what goes on inside of me when I’m in a relationship.” It’s that vulnerability and drive that draws listeners into Kirstie’s message of open mindedness and belief in a greater plan.
