Mark Hagen is currently an executive producer at the BBC whose responsibilities include Bob Harris Country & Jools Holland alongside Radio 2’s coverage of the CMA Awards, the CMA Music Festival & C2C and BBC TV’s coverage of the CMA Awards. Other productions include the award winning documentaries Gram Parsons: Fallen Angel, Dolly Parton: Platinum Blonde & Bruce Springsteen: A Secret Historyand others with the Dixie Chicks, Johnny Cash, Tammy Wynette, Queen, Paul McCartney & the Rolling Stones. He produced Top of the Pops 2 for over a decade, during which time he helped launch the careers of Shania Twain, Faith Hill & The Mavericks and recently wrote the sleeve notes for the box set R.E.M. At The BBC.
He is a two time winner of the CMA Wesley Rose International Achievement Award, a Grammy winner, a Golden Rose of Montreux winner and a TRICS award winner. He is a former member of the Country Music Association Board, a current member of the CMA International Advisory Board and in another life was the presenter of VH-1’s country programme Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way?
