‘Missing You’ New Single From FINOLA Is Out Now
The BCMA has teamed up with national promoter MAM Roots to spotlight a new release from an upcoming artist each week. We’re excited to have FINOLA as our Country Release Friday artist this week. FINOLA’s new single Missing You is available now to buy or stream on all major platforms and you can catch an exclusive performance on IGTV (@mam_roots) at 2pm today.
Talking about Missing You FINOLA said
“Missing You first came about when my guitarist and very good friend Jack Wild popped round for a brew and showed me the first couple of lines of the chorus and a leading guitar line. I instantly thought it was so catchy so we decided to carry on writing it together. We discussed our own relationships and came up with this idea that we both related to which the song would be about.
“It’s about having that person in your life who you sometimes wonder if there could be something more between the two of you. Essentially a “will they won’t they” situation. I wrote the rest of the lyrics and Jack did all the guitars in the song. If you listen to the lyrics in the song you can tell that the story is about wanting to make a decision about the stance of the relationship, shown in lyrics such as “I think that we’ve been taking too long to figure out what we’re supposed to be”. It was recorded and mixed by Chris Guest at Vibratone Sound Studio in Manchester and then mastered by Nick Belfitt. (Muskoka Manchester).”
