Best Worst Habit, The New Single From Danny McMahon
Danny McMahon has a brand new single ‘Best Worst Habit’ which is out now and available to buy or stream on all major platforms.
Fresh off the back of ‘My Kinda City’ which debuted at Number One in the UK iTunes Country Charts, The UK Country Artist Of The Year 2019 returns with his brand new single ‘Best Worst Habit’. The track is co-written by McMahon and upcoming UK Country writer Lauren Campbell. The new single explores a combination of fresh production values, combining funk driven guitars, with classic Country instrumentation that sees McMahon create his most explorative work to date.
Talking about the process of making the new single, McMahon states:
“I really wanted to push the boundaries with the production on this one. I feel Nashville artists like Morgan Wallen, Mitchell Tenpenny and Filmore to name a few have smashed it out the park in terms of how creative their sonic signatures have become in recent times. That’s something I found really inspiring when co-writing and co-producing this song. I love the blend of new and traditional sitting hand in hand and that’s very much what the essence of this song is about. Lauren’s lyrical approach and creativity was also super fresh for me during this process, and I can’t wait for people to hear what she’s capable of.”
Co-writer Lauren Campbell states:
“As a songwriter I try to write songs that people can relate to and create their own meaning to. But to me the song is a way of saying ‘Out of all the habits I have, loving you is my favourite…even if it is bad for me in the long run!”
