Gasoline and Matches Release fan- favourite ‘Never Have I Ever’ is due for release on Monday 19th July!
Two-time award-winning British Country Music Association ‘Duo of the Year’ and Birmingham Music Awards ‘Best Folk/Country Act’, Gasoline & Matches are releasing the long-awaited fan favorite drinking game ‘Never Have I Ever’ featuring the undeniable Sarah Jory on Pedal Steel. If every country singer has a drinking song, then this is the one written for every member of the audience! Showcasing infectious guitar licks and humorous lyrics, it’s already proven a massive hit with their loyal supporters at live shows and is most definitely three chords and a whole lot of truths.
Taking the time to record new material throughout 2020, ‘Never Have I Ever’ is the introduction to the next chapter for G&M. This formidable duo don’t like to conform to the mould, with harder hitting, real instruments, they breathe life into every new release. If clever hooks and killer guitar tones are what you’ve been searching for, you are in the right place.
Hailing from Birmingham, Sally Rea and Steve Marks initially met years ago when their paths crossed in a guitar shop. Enlisting the help of experienced producer Gavin Monaghan (Robert Plant, Ryan Adams, Editors) their high energy, the country-rock sound was born. With their debut single ‘Fool’s Gold’ reaching Number 1 in the UK iTunes Country Chart, the duo gained momentum when they were named amongst BBC Introducing’s West Midlands Sounds of 2019. Touring extensively with a host of international artists and UK country music alumni has found the duo sharing the stage with Nashville legend Phil Vassar, main stage appearances ahead of Lindsay Ell, Don McLean, Jessie J & Kaiser Chiefs, and transatlantic performances in Los Angeles & Nashville, all whilst simultaneously picking up several major global brand endorsements along the way. Whether performing acoustically or with the full band, their live show is not to be missed.
