Two Ways Home Release Re-Explored Version of ‘Conquer the World’
Anglo/Austrian, country-Americana outfit, Two Ways Home have released the first of 3 re-worked fan favourites from their debut album ‘Break The Silence’. Entitled Conquer The World the re-explored track will be available now on all platforms.
Disheartened by having to cancel all their tour plans in 2020, Two Ways Home’s Lewis Fowler and Isabella MaK have tried to make the most of the last year, learning new skills and honing their production and mixing abilities. “It has been such a fun experience to re-work and play everything on these songs and really take our time to get creative at every step of the way.” comments Lewis.
The first song the pair chose to re-create is Conquer The World. Playing all the instruments and mixing the song from the ground up in their own studio, Lewis and Isabella knew it had the potential to sound more unique and modern.
The song was frequently requested on live streams throughout the last year, but Two Ways Home felt like the track needed a more anthemic feel that is in keeping with the message of the lyrics. One instantly notices that the “re-explored” version is faster and punchier. The vocals are more present and the sound hints at an energetic combination of Imagine Dragons and The Lumineers. More modern in the instrumentation but keeping the rootsy vibe in the vocal delivery.
About the reworked track Isabella explains, “Conquer the World had the potential to sound even bigger so we wanted to expand on the arrangement and take it somewhere else. Listening to the re-explored version now makes me feel the uplifting quality the song has when we play it live.”
After winning “Best Duo/Group” at the British Country Music Spotlight awards Two Ways Home have started 2021 with a bang and are excited to present these three re-worked tunes followed by new music in the months to come.
Two Ways Home are made up of songwriters Isabella MaK from Vienna, Austria and Gloucestershire lad Lewis Fowler. A trip to Nashville in 2013 inspired a new name and anchored their love for Folk-Rock, Country and Americana music. The pair have been honing their craft and have released several Eps as well as standalone singles.
Since the release of their debut EP back in 2015, Isabella and Lewis have established themselves as firm favourites on the British Country/Americana scene, having shared stages with the likes of Phil Vassar and Sarah Darling as well as performing at popular festivals such as Nashville Meets London and The Long Road.
After being discovered and playlisted by Caffe Nero across 600+ stores worldwide, Lewis and Isabella embarked on a tour in 2019, playing 33 shows in 3 weeks ending with them being crowned Caffé Nero “Artist of the Month” in the October of that year.
They’ve also made waves internationally, touring in the US and throughout Europe. Receiving great support in Germany and Austria, their music has been playlisted in McDonald’s and major shopping centres throughout the country.
Their ‘Closest Stranger’ EP garnered support from Chris Country Radio, Country Hits Radio and BBC regional stations have been long-time supporters.
The duo have also been trailblazers for the country scene in London, hosting their own songwriter event ‘The Round Up’, which has attracted high-profile names from Nashville such as Charlie Worsham and Lainey Wilson, whilst giving a fantastic platform for homegrown talent.
