Following on from their recent releases and a string of live shows, UK-based Folk-Rock/Country duo Two Ways Home are back with their latest single, Hot Rain, a nostalgic, heart-thumping summer anthem out now on all streaming platforms.
With echoes of Lady A, Russell Dickerson, and Little Big Town, Hot Rain captures the energy and intimacy of a summer romance that burns bright and lingers long after the storm has passed. The chorus hits like a memory you can still feel in your bones:
“We were dancing in that hot rain,
Grass stains all over my shirt,
Your hands were glued to my waist,
Interlaced with our feet in the dirt.
I never wanted less than I did right then,
Give anything to do it all over again,
In that hot rain.”
Written during a writing trip and recorded between tour dates, the track is a blend of modern country-pop shimmer and earthy, heartfelt storytelling. It showcases the duo’s signature vocal blend and knack for evocative imagery, capturing the raw joy of a moment that feels too good to be true and too powerful to forget.
“We’re so grateful to everyone who’s been with us on this journey,” say the duo. “Buying the track early is one of the most meaningful ways to keep the music alive and independent.”
Hot Rain is the latest in a string of releases from Two Ways Home as they gear up for their second full-length album later this year and continue their run of dynamic live shows across the UK and Europe.
