EDITORS CHOICE: Andrew Jones returns with his classic fan favourite “Ain’t Quite a Truck”

Accomplished UK singer/songwriter Andrew Jones has been quite the trailblazer within the burgeoning UK country music scene over the past few years, having played festivals such as C2C, Buckle & Boots, and the BCMA Fan Fest throughout his near 20 year musical career, whilst his musical releases have struck a chord with fans thanks to him often exploring the simplicity of life and its small joys within the every day.

He’s well known for being down-to-earth and a true storyteller, having been inspired by the likes of Kip Moore, Johnny Cash, and Bruce Springsteen there’s little surprise that Andrew Jones’ output is steeped in the art of storytelling.

And now, Jones is ready to take another leap in his growing career with the release of his latest single “Ain’t Quite a Truck” which OUT NOW.

The upcoming offering is a track that will no doubt resonate with many UK fans, a parodic view of Country Music style living, with the inevitable 3 door hatchback we all drove when we were first time drivers. Produced by Nashville’s Smith Curry and UK’s Jamie Masters “Ain’t Quite a Truck” sees Andrew reminiscing on his own youth and the happy memories of those endless (and probably too expensive) miles we put on our first cars “those nights we wasted driving around”.

Speaking about the track, Andrew Jones says: “I spent far too many evenings completing several of what we used to call a “chav lap”, windows down, music pumping, usually on our way to the local lake for a disposable BBQ with a crate of lager, or just driving to a nearby lay-by or supermarket car park for a cheeky smoke. I still see youngsters doing this now in my home town, although I’m much more judgemental about it these days.”

Andrew’s latest single is set to push the Brit performer to the forefront of the genre and give him a secure foothold within the growing international appeal of the UK country market.
