Sarah Riches and Preston D Barnes Unite for Debut Collaboration on “Here Comes Goodbye” The UK country artists join forces for the first time on a heartfelt new interpretation of the Rascal Flatts hit.
Two highly distinctive voices in UK country music come together for the very first time as Sarah Riches and Preston D Barnes release a heartfelt new version of “Here Comes Goodbye,” originally recorded by Nashville band Rascal Flatts. Blending emotional depth, rich harmonies and a contemporary country vibe to tell this story of heartbreak, the collaboration marks an exciting new chapter for both artists.
“We both entered the UK country music scene at around the same time, and loved each other’s work, and we’ve been cheering each other on ever since. I think we were just waiting for the right song so that we could finally work together. We’re both huge fans of Rascal Flatts, so this felt like the perfect opportunity.”
The release also highlights both artists’ own strong ties to Music City. Sarah recorded her debut country album, I Don’t Give Up Easily at Sound Stage Studios, with Nashville production royalty Fred Mollin, while Preston has worked with leading Nashville songwriters across a growing catalogue of standout releases.
With voices and harmonies that complement each other effortlessly, Riches and Barnes deliver a performance that pairs raw and intimate emotion with the energy and edge of modern country. This new cover single will be the first time country fans will have ever heard these voices combined.
“This song was obviously not a male/female duet when Rascal Flatts released it so we had such a great time singing together and discovering harmonies that hit all the sweet spots. We hope our listeners will enjoy hearing this track as much as we did recording it”
