Justine Beverley Reveals Debut EP “Between Tides” with Cinematic New Single “Til It Crashes”

“Til It Crashes” is the fourth and final single from Between Tides, the debut EP by bilingual, independent singer-songwriter Justine Beverley. Drawing inspiration from the complexity of real-life relationship dynamics and the slow-burning tension of TV series like The White Lotus and Big Little Lies, the song explores the magnetic pull between two people who inevitably find themselves attracted to each other, but feel bound by duty to do the right thing and never act on their feelings. Rather than building towards a dramatic confrontation, the track finds its power in restraint: emotion simmers beneath the surface, tension accumulates, and the inevitable is always approaching—much like the air changing before a storm or a wave gathering before it breaks.

Musically, the track pairs intimate storytelling with cinematic country production from producer Tim Prottey-Jones, a member of First Time Flyers and host of the Homegrown show on CountryLine Radio. Lead and backing vocals take center stage to envelop the listener, while acoustic and electric guitars, bass, and drums work together to gradually increase the sense of pressure and release.

The Between Tides EP
The four-track EP brings together previous singles “Passenger Seat,” “On n’oublie pas,” and “Second Look,” with “Til It Crashes” closing the project. Each track has been developed as its own sensory moodboard—for “Til It Crashes,” it evokes windswept, rugged coastlines, storm-heavy skies, and petrichor. The wider project explores living in the spaces between things and the certainty that nothing is ever permanent, bridging France and Scotland, two languages and cultures, different emotional states, and past and future versions of ourselves. Written between Scotland and France, at home and while traveling, its songs feel like keepsakes collected between places.

The EP artwork and short-form visuals for the campaign were shot at Dunraven Bay in South Wales with Will Langley—whose credits include Chanel Yates and Jake O’Neill—to bring that world to life. Ultimately, “Til It Crashes” brings the final chapter into focus, balancing intimacy with the growing sense that some forces—whether nature, time, or emotion—can only be contained for so long.
