Weekly Release – Jade Helliwell releases “girl-power” single “Woman I Am”

Top UK artist Jade Helliwell releases first “girl-power” single Woman I Am from new inspiring EP, due out later this year.

Being authentic runs through the core of country singer Jade Helliwell’s existence. Her truth is written through all of her music and a light is turned on this in her new sound – celebrating womanhood and self-belief.

A proud Yorkshire woman, Jade has mastered her own take on country music; a Nashville quality sound taking influences from artists such as Carly Pearce, Tenille Arts and Maren Morris, infused with her fan-pleasing reputation as the gin-loving “girl next door.”

“Woman I Am” is the debut release from the forthcoming EP and weaves an empowering message of self-pride and celebration. Written with fellow country singer Laura Oakes, the track tells a story of being proud of each aspect of your personality and owning those traits – life mottos that Jade herself is driven by.

“Woman I Am is about being unapologetically yourself. Celebrating the good bits and the bad. This song sees me owning the woman I have become, and I continue to be. I hope this will empower the listener to be proud of who they are and honour every part of themselves”

An internationally created track, ‘Woman I Am’ was recorded and produced by Matt Geroux from Nashville. A staff producer at BMG, Geroux produced Smoke for Jade, released in 2021 and has an innate ability to capture the Nashville pop-country sound that fits Jade’s vision so smoothly. Vocals for the track were recorded in London at Platoon Studios, alongside vocal producer Ramera Abraham. Abraham is herself a staff producer at Platoon and has previously worked alongside mega-hit vocal artists such as Little Mix and Adele.

Woman I Am hails a new era for Jade Helliwell, whose unique vocals, charismatic personality and unrivalled work ethic are set to unleash a whirlwind of success for this truly homegrown talent.
