About The EP by the Artist
I released my last album ‘Tuebrook’, in July 2023. When recording the album, I had more songs I had started on than I needed to complete the album. When feeling the album out, I decided to go with a stripped back album partly due to finances and a time element factor. The other factor was that I wanted to present a coherent narrative and I felt that some other songs seemed out of place. I also had a tour booked and needed to have the album finished in time for the dates that were on the horizon.
I was glad that the decision was made for me in many ways. I have been absolutely stunned with the reviews I received for ‘Tuebrook’. The songs on this EP that I started recording at the same time as ‘Tuebrook’ thematically wouldn’t have fit that album apart from one but musically would have stood out like a sore thumb against the other tracks. Where ‘Tuebrook’ was quite intimate with a very small band of musicians, these songs are quite diverse.
