Lincoln Skin’s latest single, No Place Like Home, is a soulful country folk anthem, featuring a driving marching drum beat that carries its heartfelt message. With quirky banjo undertones and warm, melodic harmonies that beautifully build to the final chorus, the song seems destined for a classic epitaph: Home is where the heart is.
Recorded at Dub Studios in Norwich, an intimate studio tucked away in the roof of an old pub, the track captures the essence of Lincoln Skins’ unique sound. From the very first song, Mikey at Dub Cavern Studios has perfectly encapsulated the band’s spirit, consistently delivering exceptional results on every track they’ve worked on together.
Formed in 2019, Rebecca Nudd-Valentine and James Dean, collectively known as Lincoln Skins, have quickly earned a reputation as a crowd-pleasing act at numerous festivals.
The duo’s 2024 singles White Horses and Yours enjoyed record streaming and download success, driving them to continue bringing their music into the studio. “We do it for our fans,” said James. “Every penny goes back into our music to give back to our supporters. Without them—coming to our gigs, listening to our tracks—there would be no point. They are our family.”
In October 2024, Lincoln Skins were nominated for five Josie Music Awards in Nashville. Following this recognition, they’ve been invited to join a UK tour this summer, as part of the festival Summer in Nashville. “Exciting times ahead, it’s going to be one hell of a year!” shared Becs.
