Following the success of his last two highly-anticipated releases ‘Mine’ and ‘Never Wanna Be Without You’ (featuring Georgia Nevada), scouse country singer Owen Morton is now teasing fans with a new release – set to be the first song on his upcoming debut country album.
Dirt Road Romance is a fun, light-hearted country song that reminisces on the beauty and glamour of rural life, in contrast to the hustle and bustle of the big city.
Written by himself and Canadian-Irish songwriter Keller Laird, Owen reflects on the song and his wider intentions going forward:
“Going into 2025, I have made it my aim to move away from the pop-country style sounds that I have experimented with in the previous year, and introduce more traditional and undeniably country elements into my discography.”
“‘Dirt Road Romance’ is an anthem that was designed to kick off a summer’s country-Americana festival with a bang. Picture this… you’re sat in a green-grassy field with your friends, cowboy boots on, your Stetson protecting you from the warm sun above, a cold drink in your hand… then you hear the band open with Dirt Road Romance. You now understand what we were going for in this track!”
