Sarah Riches releases honky tonk style track “Devil In Blue”

Switching gear effortlessly from the anthemic Southern Rock vibe of her previous single We Ain’t Getting Outta Here Alive, Sarah Riches transports us back to the Wild West through the swing doors of a hot and dusty Tennessee honky tonk-bar with her latest release, Devil In Blue.

Here you’ll see her swept up off her feet by a practiced player who makes her forget all reason for a while, until she finally sees through the cigar smoke and mirrors and shows that cowboy the door. While this is undoubtedly a classic country theme, any poor soul who has recently been burned will testify that the charms of a “sweet-talking, firewalking, hell-for-leather devil in blue” can still prove irresistible, even in this modern world of dating!

Backed by the solid musicianship of her stellar band The Dreamcatchers, and produced by Inspire Music this latest offering from Sarah Riches highlights once again the versatility of her storytelling, and the stand-out strength and range of her vocal skills. And given the vast contrast in style and theme between her first two track releases this year, it will be interesting to see what she serves up next, in Autumn 2025.
