Award-winning gothic country duo Saint Senara release spooky new single for Halloween

The award-winning gothic country duo’s haunting take on the Screamin’ Jay Hawkins classic features powerhouse vocal performances and an array of experimental sounds from breath percussion to horror box, creating an atmospheric soundscape designed to send chills down your spine – and a completely unique version of this beloved blues staple.

After the incredible reception to their ‘Dark Water EP’ (named one of 2025’s best releases and featuring the award-winning ‘There’s A Storm Coming’), the single also marks a return to self-production, having been recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by the band’s own Andrew Bate, taking them back to the roots of their award-nominated 2023 debut ‘Flowers On My Grave EP’.

The striking single artwork is a scan of an original tintype created by Birmingham-based photographer, Kris Askey, using the Victorian Collodion, or wet plate, process, to add to Saint Senara’s gothic and ghostly vibe.
