WEEKLY RELEASE – Sarah Louise celebrates family and nostalgia with latest release ‘My Grandparents and Me’

UK-based country pop artist Sarah Louise has released her latest single – ‘My Grandparents and Me’ – an audio ode fuelled with memories and nostalgia reflecting on the special relationship she had with her grandparents.

With a melodic, soft-toned and soulful voice, Sarah Louise grabs the attention of her audiences by creating music that represents her love of country music – meaningful lyrics, delicate harmonies and memorable melodies. The Essex-based writer is inspired by artists that tell stories of their lyrics, encouraging her to write about moments in her life that may resonate and help others get in touch with their feelings. She has been recognised for her talent, named as a finalist for British Country Music Association’s Female Vocalist of the Year 2021 & 2022, UK Country Music Awards Album and Artist of the Year 2022.

‘My Grandparents and Me’ is the latest in a string of successful singles including her most recent release ‘My Beating Heart’ which secured top spot in the UK iTunes Country Chart. The stripped back, soft country track tells the story of Sarah’s childhood memories, and ‘magic moments’ spent with her grandparents. It is dripping in powerful lyrical nostalgia, with a strong, painful, yet humbling reminder that we often don’t appreciate those closest to us until they are gone.

“My Grandparents were my whole world when I was a child to when I was young… They were both my rock and I have the most amazing memories with them and respect for them. I wrote the song in memory of them.”

Sarah is currently working on a new five track EP, due for release and the end of 2022, and plans to collaborate with Nashville musicians.
