The Heartland Roots Band return with a swaggering new single “This Is Now”

The Heartland Roots Band return with a swaggering new single, ‘This Is Now’, a gritty, blues-soaked rocker that tips its hat to the loose-limbed attitude of The Rolling Stones while sounding unmistakably their own. Built on a rolling groove, the track captures a band firing on all cylinders.

Written by Adie Causier, the song explores the moment when reflection turns into resolve – leaving behind bad decisions, toxic relationships and painful memories in favour of growth and forward motion. Vivid, poetic imagery runs throughout the lyrics, from scars turning into stars to old names being buried beneath fresh ink, symbolising survival, reinvention and self-belief.

Lead guitar duties are shared between Lee Allen and Causier, whose interlocking parts trade bite, slide and swagger, pushing the song forward with urgency and attitude. Their complementary styles give the track its edge, balancing blues grit with classic rock flair.

This Is Now is a statement of intent from The Heartland Roots Band – defiant, reflective and ultimately uplifting – proving that sometimes the most powerful move is simply deciding to move on.
