Dan Jones Honors Late Best Friend with Emotional New Single “Brother Of Mine”

UK country-rock artist Dan Jones has released his most personal track to date, “Brother Of Mine”. The powerful single serves as a tribute to his lifelong friend and former musical partner, Andre Timberlake Evans, who tragically passed away from a brain tumour ten years ago at just 41.

The track traces a deep, lifelong bond that began when the pair met at age 16. Bound by a shared passion for rock ‘n’ roll, guitar, and vocal harmony, they later formed the highly successful West Midlands live duo 360. However, their musical ambitions faced severe opposition. Raised within a very strict religious church, the duo was given an ultimatum by church leadership to abandon their full-time music careers or face disciplinary action. Choosing artistic freedom over draconian restrictions, the duo stood together, ultimately leaving the faith behind to pursue their musical truth.

While their paths later diverged—with Andre training as an opera singer—their bond remained unbreakable. Upon learning of Andre’s terminal diagnosis, Jones stepped in to support his oldest friend through his final years.

“Andre was a strong, inspiring character whose charisma, passion, and soul still burn inside me,” says Jones. “We went through so much together to defend our right to make music. This song is the only way I know how to honour that journey and keep his memory alive. I just hope he approves.”

“Brother Of Mine” combines raw, heartfelt storytelling with Jones’s signature country-rock grit, serving as both a lament for a lost brother and a celebration of an unyielding spirit.
